CISV Friends

Everyone who participates in a CISV program must pre-register on CISV Friends. This website has been created to help you stay connected with your friends and with CISV – a type of “village” where you can meet friends, learn about the latest CISV activities, and join in with your comments and creativity. Eventually, this is how CISV will communicate with you. The Friends Guide PowerPoint presentation gives full details about the site.

  • Register on CISV Friends:
    • Read through the Registration, Terms and Conditions of Use of the website. Scroll to the bottom and click Accept
    • Complete the registration form in full
    • Click on Register and your registration request will be sent to the site
    • You will then be sent a confirmation email to the address you provided
    • Follow the instructions in that email to confirm your registration and receive your password
    • Once in to the Friends site, you can change your password by going to My Profile and clicking Set your Password on the right
  • Claim participation in a CISV program:
    • Select the type of activity you are going to attend/have attended
    • Select the year of participation (the year when the activity takes/took place)
    • Select the host National Association (the country where the activity will take/took place)
    • Click View to the right of your activity
    • If your name is not in the list, fill in the Activity Claim Form
    • A notification will be sent to the Activity Manager of your activity and he/she will approve your claim
    • When your claim is approved, you are part of the activity and can communicate with those who have already claimed/registered

Consider volunteering as an Activity Manager. The position of an Activity Manager is an important key to the success of CISV Friends. It is a voluntary, unpaid position. Activity Managers facilitate the use of CISV Friends by helping users to resolve their problems related to the proper use of CISV Friends. Activity Managers will approve the users’ claims to activities according to set rules. See the Activity Manager Manual for further details.
