All participants in local and international programs have to be members of CISV Ottawa in good standing. Your membership covers insurance for all activities your family members participate in, and provides funds to keep the organization running. Any extra funds go towards paying for international program hosting (every other year).
Membership is inexpensive and CISV Ottawa also offers a complimentary trial membership for youth attending their first activity. Membership types include:
- Family: $130
- Individual (for people 18+): $50
- Volunteer (for adult leaders and volunteers): $25
- Trial* (good for three months of local chapter events or one JB mini-camp): $0
- Affiliate (for members from other CISV Canada chapters): $0
- Pay what you can
CISV chapter memberships are normally valid for one year from September 1 – August 31 and are renewed annually. However, due to COVID-19, CISV Ottawa extended all 2022 memberships free of charge until the end of December 2022. In addition, individuals or families who purchased a 2022 membership after September 1st, 2022 do not need to pay a fee for 2023. However, we would like them to still fill in the membership form to ensure our records are up to date.

NOTE: Even if you were a member in 2022, we would still like you to fill in the information again for 2023, to be sure we have the latest and greatest contact info and names for everyone. Phone numbers and emails change frequently so we need to re-gather the info every year to make sure we can contact you when we need to.
