February 26th, we’re walking in the Coldest Night of the Year, a fundraising walk to support a local charity that serves people and families experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hurt during this difficult season. We are fundraising for the Ottawa Westboro – Cornerstone Housing for Women.
Our group will meet up and walk together while maintaining safe social distancing of course!When: Saturday February 26th Meet at 1:00pm, return by 3pm or sooner.
Where: Fisher Park School, 250 Holland Ave– meet in the field. Parking available at the school.
Why: To get together, to raise awareness & money for those in need
We will walk around a route of approximately 2-3km while doing some CISV energizers to stay warm. The event provides an opportunity to meet and socialize while learning more about homelessness, and about how Ottawa organizations are helping people with housing challenges. We will ask participants to follow COVID-19 guidelines (masking and social distancing). A CISV family who lives along our walking route will be serving us a nice treat of hot chocolate along the way! We will be back at Fisher by no later than 3pm.
