Each summer, during the month of August, an 18+ youth, elected by Canada’s Junior Branch organizes the Junior Branch National Camp, with the assistance of one of CISV Canada’s chapters. National Camp is a six–day program that is open to youth of all ages. Participants are encouraged to take an active leadership role within the camp.
Following some experiential training in planning, facilitation and evaluation, all participants have the opportunity to plan and facilitate educational activities with small planning groups. National Camp is a dynamic, fun, learning experience for youth of all ages.
This summer, from the 16th to the 23rd of August, National Camp will be held just north of Toronto! National Camp is an annual weeklong program held for Canadian youth ages 11 and up. Participants have the opportunity to plan and facilitate activities, debriefs, and evaluations as part of a group. They are encouraged to act as leaders and to take on a more active role in shaping their camp experience! It is a super fun week and we encourage everyone to apply!
Ottawa has been given four spots, with the possibility of more places given to us later. In order to be considered for a place in this year’s camp, please email your participant application to magda.kalff@gmail.com before May 10th!
Please be aware that participants are responsible for their own travel from Ottawa to Toronto but there is the possibility to have some or all of costs reimbursed. Please include whether you will need reimbursement when submitting yourself or your child for consideration.
